
Dr. Carlla Duster Franklin received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May of 1991 from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. She has practiced dentistry throughout Chicago and the Western Suburbs for 20 years. Dr. Franklin is passionate about her patients and delivering dentistry with a pleasant touch. As a result of her belief that a healthy mouth is essential for overall good health, she volunteered for several years at St. Basil’s Free Peoples Clinic in Chicago, Illinois providing free dental services to individuals with financial hardships. In addition to private practice, she has also worked for the DuPage County Health Department providing dental care for children at many Elementary Schools in DuPage County on the Smiles Squad Mobile Dental van. Dr. Franklin served as a clinical instructor at the Kennedy King Junior College Dental Hygiene Program.
Her professional affiliations include membership in the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. She served on the membership committee of the Chicago Dental Society and is the former President, Vice President and Secretary of the Hyde Park/Kenwood Component Branch of the Chicago Dental Society.
In 1998, Dr. Franklin was ordained as a minister. She currently resides in Naperville with her two children and teaches Sunday School and serves on the prayer ministry at her church.
